Paper accepted in the 10th IMA International Conference on Modelling in Industrial Maintenance and Reliability

A paper entitled “Optimising remedial outcomes for Gas Turbines through large scale data analysis” has been accepted and presented by our MSc by Research student Jason McGinty. The paper related to a project that investigates faults in Gas Turbines in collaboration with Siemens Lincoln. Dr Georgios Leontidis, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, and professor Stefanos Kollias have been supervising the project.

Inaugural Lecture of Professor Stefanos Kollias

Recently, professor Stefanos Kollias, was invited to give a lecture at the University of Lincoln, spanning his career and contribution to the machine learning and AI fields. It was a great evening, very well attended with some interesting discussions taking place at then end and after the lecture finished. The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University, professor Andrew Hunter, opened and closed the lecture.

Paper accepted in IEEE International Conference on Image Processing

Paper entitled “An End-to-End Deep Neural Architecture for Optical Character Verification and Recognition in Retail Food Packaging” accepted in the flagship conference of IEEE ICIP (International Conference on Image Processing). An output of the collaboration between the mlearn group, laboratory of vision engineering and national centre for food manufacturing of the University of Lincoln.
